What is this? wiring

OK, What is this black box labeled "FA"? It has the brake light switch included also, one small end was pluged into the "AGK" the other plug ins I have no idea where they go. After unplugging from the AGK everything still runs normal, do I need this extra crap?

Is it the abs? If not I would also say cruise control. What year did they switch over to all electric?

Pretty sure I've got one of those in my garage from my old 87. 87 didn't have ABS, but it did have cruise. I didn't notice any ill effects from removing it.

You doing a full re-wire on your truggy Steve? Just wondering.. I'm gonna be in the same boat in my new-UAV-inspired rig. I just finished the final narrowing of the sheetmetal today... tube work will begin very soon...

I will do the full rewire this winter, right now I am working on the dash and wanted to get rid of a few extra wires.
