I run 35in BFG All Terrains and I measured them today to find out that they are not really 35in tall. The front is 33in and the back is 33.5in. All my tires are fully inflated at about 35psi.

I've heard that BFG runs a little small. So just curious what your tires say and what their actual height is.

How wide are your rims? My BFGs were 34.7" tall with 32 PSI on a 15x8 when new. They were about an inch shorter when I swapped to a 15x10.

...and I've got a set of off brand 33s that are just over 31" on a 15x7.

I have 37X12.5 on a 15X8 and the most worn one which has about 3/8" tread is right at 36.5" tall. I have not measured a new one but I would venture with 19/32 tread it would be right at 37 or close to it. I also run 25# pressure.

Loaded height of my 39.5" TSL's is 38.5" with 23 lbs of air. They're about 40% tread left.

Circumference of the tire is 123.5", so my true diameter is 39.3"...and the amount the contact patch squishes is about 3/4".

I have 15x10 rims and the with 35x12.5 R15

I didn't realize rim width made a difference in height. :cool1:

my old 35 bfg at ko's were 33.5" also. my 42" tsl's with 10% tread at 10psi (2 dont hold air well) measure to 39"

I've posted this picture before, but the 395/85R20 XMLs are 46 1/2" true height brand new mounted on 20x9 wheels. The 44 Boggers are 42 1/2" tall true height (with a little wear on them) mounted on 15x11 wheels at 16 psi.

my 44 tsl's are very close to an actual 44. Mounted on a 12" beadlocked rim. True width is approx. 13".

I don't know what the other manufacturers publish, but BFG posts the specs for each of their tires. They spell-out the rim size used to get the height measurement, AT FULL PRESSURE. My "E" load rated tires are measured at 80psi. For DD, everything will be less.:D

my 33/12.5/15 TSL's on a 15x10 measured out to 34.2 when they were new.

and my 2 year old 36/12.5/15 TSL/SX's on a 15x10 measure out to 36" and they are 75% tread left

my 40" hawgs on 16.5x9.75" rims are 39" however I have them on 16.5x12 and they are 38.8" measured by the inspection station and passed as I needed 38's!!!!
