My old DD/weekend warrior, 84 k5. It seen 300 miles a week for 2 years, its long since been reincarnated in other rigs.

DD'd my 97 Sierra before I drove the K5, now its just a tow/adventure/work rig

All your bolt ons/westers tune, 2.5" torsion twist, 14 bolt s.f/Detroit equipped, its now rolling on the 33x12.5's off the K5

Had an 02 Cavalier that I DD'd after the K5 for the last couple years, it finally was on its last legs. Traded it in on a 2010 Impala LT, lovin it so far.

Rotation between either a 1975 K5, 1987 V10, 1988 V10 Suburban, 1989 V1500 Suburban, or 1990 K5.

$800 94 Exploder- bout 14-17mpg
I only have a 15 minute/8 mile commute to work

I drive the super duty below once a week or so too.

Once the blazer is going that will have a spot in the rotation, or possibly replace the exploder.

1991 Volvo 940 SE

On nice days I'll drive the 1978 Porsche 911 SC Targa

Here's my DD
'14 GMC Sierra 3-5" McGaughy's drop rolling on 24's
MPG.... terrible because of my heavy foot. It's like an ON/OFF switch.

Wow I'm really surprised that I'm the only one that drives his project everyday:eek1::dunno:
Everything that I own is a "project"

Current dd is 85 short bed with 3/4 tons 33s, ls 4.8. Gets decent mileage on my 10 mile commute to work:D.

Piecing together a 77 half ton short bed with 31s, 305, and sm465 to use as a dd and work truck.

You're not the only one. I do have a '94 Ranger not listed in the signature:

but between Wifey and I Big Blue has been driven regularly for the past 2 years. Although, compared to those with lengthy commutes, it hasn't been driven very much (15K and counting).

The Ranger typically gets 27-28MPG on the road and 25-26MPG in town. A headwind can knock it down to 24 (as can driving more aggressively). Blue is not that cheap, so the miles naturally gravitate toward the Ranger.

My DD. I live 40 miles from work so put 80 miles round trip on it a day.

I DD my 2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged. Got her 8 years ago this week and have put 123K on the clock. Normal mixed highway / city driving gets me about 25 MPG.

My dd's listed in my sig.
Use to e the suburban but now the wife rolls that and I drive the SS.

Ah crap I don't have a sig cuz my membership is gone!

1997 k2500 suburban 7.4 33" duratracs. Tuned by eagle mark. K&n intake. exhaust
Yada yada

2004 silverado SS. K&n intake. Custom exhaust diablo tuned.

I have a choice of my 87 k/v10 'plow truck', and the 76 CCLB c30. I usually take the plow truck unless I need the low tailgate of the c30 - the 454 has a loud tick of some sort and while the general consensus is stuck lifter, I'm not going to test my luck. Plus the fuel injection is nice in the morning, hop in and go.

I could also take my blazer but with the motor, high stall, and 38's it gets about 5mpg. Also need to factor in that it sounds beautiful when you get the secondaries to open up on the qjet, which I do way too much for my wallet to enjoy.

They're all projects though, stock is boring!

My DD: 2011 Ram 3500 Crew Cab Dually 4*4. My commute to work is 10 miles round trip. Yet I put 20k miles a year on the truck. truck is really our toy and camper hauler.
