I want to get a 8" lift and run 38s but I don't know which brand springs to get I am looking for the best ridding springs, my 3/4 ton suburban beats the hell out of me on even the smallest bumps.

8" lift for 38"s? are you actually going to wheel this thing or do you just want the HIGH UP look?

Mostly road but I do play around in the mud and sand and when I do I get pretty rough with it

This is 6in and 1in body with 38.5 boggers in the pic the rear only has a shackle flip.

Nomatter what size lift I get I am just looking for the smoothest riding springs I can get I am tired of the really stiff worn out springs I have

smooth ride and 8" spring is an oxymoron... but whatever springs ya get, combine it with a shackle flip out back for the first 4.. that'll help tremendously...

and consider a zero rate front and back for another inch, and moving axles..... throw a 1" bodylift in too...

I'm gonna be running 4" spring up front, flip out back, and another 2" for the bl and zero rates on 38 TSL's... tho my front fenders have been cut/sectioned back a bit...

Colbysteven just did 38's and a lift, check his recent thread out or the "sticky'd" "how will my truck look with" thread in the garage...

Alcans for my $$

always a nice option if you can afford em...

Their only $100 more than TC ez rides. for the whole set when ordered directly from Alcan. 8" may be slightly different. but thats the way it was for my full set of 3" ones.

By the way,,,, I'll never do another brand of lift spring now. They have my vote any day after having others then these.

I haven't driven my truck yet but if you look at my build http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=294060 you can see what I did, 60" springs off a burb in the junkyard, the 52"s that were in the back went on the front with b52 brackets and zero rates 1" forward, I got lees than 200 bucks into it, not including what I made, but you can acheive what I did in the rear with just moving stock brackets....the flater the spring the smoother the ride, and better flex up and down, 8" lift for 38's is ridiculous...but thats why I ask, some people like the high looks, it just isn't practical if you actually want to wheel your truck...you need to be more specific on what you want out of your truck -offroad or mall cruiser

What if I did a 4 link that size

So much for worrying about that extra $100 for the Alcans!

ORD's got a fairly complete kit if that's the way you want to go. I'd be lying if I wasn't toying the idea myself... Not sure what wonderful complications I'll run into with the diesel and the turbo, but I am sure it would be worth the trouble!

Now to find an extra $3000 laying around... Anybody feel like donating?
