Ain't that the truth.....I gotta get back in a gym. I'm fat as hell.

You and me, both :doah: !!

Ideally, I could stand to lose 50lbs. However, I'll settle for 30lbs less.

There is probably the learning curve for the majority on this site. But even after decades of wrenching, I only just recently repaired and R&P changed axles for the first time.
We are way out there on the fringe compared to the general population as far being able to go beyond "oil change".
I've worked as an Aero Engineer for almost 30 years, and I'm amazed that for ~95% that crowd, opening the hood is like looking into the jaws of death. :haha:

For me it's a necessity, I'm to cheap to pay someone else to do it.:D
If I did let someone work on it, I wouldn't trust their work anyway.

Besides all that, there a lot of self satisfaction when your fixing or improving your own rig.

so why aren`t you out there yet, Greg?:D

WOW!......my very own thread stalker!!! :haha:

Alright then, I'm logging out and going somewhere else. I'm getting that weird creepy feeling that I'm being followed around here.

I wrench from experience. I was a Master tech and did it for a living for 13 years. Now I have all this useless experience and the skilled hands to perform it. They get real idle. I am forever working on a project and have never owned a "stock" vehicle in my life. I also have all these damn tools that need to be put to good use. I get really relaxed when I work on the cars. It is kinda like meditation for me.

Oh and the real reason I do it is because I own a K5:haha:

This is what motivates me. Big ass nasty rocks waiting to be crawled. :D

Yep, grew up having to fix my own if'n I was going to have a ride. Then I realized I do better work than most shops do.

And ya meet the nicest people.................

The picture in my head keeps me moving. Everytime I make a change I see it getting closer to it. Of course, the picture changes over time. I guess that is my way of making sure that I'll never be done.
