what SAS kit to buy?

The Sky kit is a good kit. I was debating on getting one, but got the materials to make my own for free. And the Fabworx kit is more like $2300 IIRC. Not inless they drastically lowered the price.

fabworx

fabworx kit is complete.. more expensive one. that comes with springs brackets shocks, shock hoops, everything but front and rear axle....

cheap one is just the brackets... i got and asked saturday morning.

my buddy is about to put a sky kit on his truck so we shall see how that goes...

i like my ORU kit, and the price wasnt bad at $425 used

If i wanted to stay half ton and 6 lug would the FULLSIZE jeep front axle work. I.E. gladiator pickups grand waggys and old cherokee chief.
I only want 35-37" tires and no hardcore wheeling.

I think they Jeeps are narrow, SUA, and pass drop. The last not a big deal if your changing your t-case. Not 100% sure on the width, but I know the Grand's are 62" WMS, too narrow for a full size.

so how did it turn out? I'm itching to do mine...............I'm on the browse for a kit for my 1 ton. I don't know which yet though...........what CK5 vendors make them?

the jeep axles are narrow, but they are 6 lug. 80's are drivers drop, 70's are pass drop. your best bet is using a ford axle with chevy/jeep outers to get the right width. FYI the jeep axle is common for mid size swaps like s10's and toyotas.
