Looks like my CJ7 is finally going to sell so I'll have some cash to buy some new tires and wheels after my 1 ton swap on my 76 K5:D

I'm going to be running a 4" lift in the front with an ord 4" flip in the rear...What would you guys go with, I'm currently running 35's

was for a set a 5 47" ltbs with wheels
 
I had a post here last month where this great bunch of guys helped me decide on tires. I am very happy with my decision.

After years of BFG At's I wanted a more aggressive tire but wanted to keep in mind its my daily driver as well as weekend toy.


I really wanted some Swampers and they helped me decide on the TruXs MT.

1990 K5 4 inch lift 35x12.50x15

Yeah its not as nice a ride as the BFG's but still very streetable and the mud-snow capability is amazing. Had to be locked in 4wheel to get in and out of my garage before and now I zip in and out nice and easy in 2 wheel drive.

I also replaced my aluminum rims with pro comp steel wheels for about $80 apiece.

How do you like them so far and how many miles have you put on them...I ran a set of 33" Truxxus MT's on my old DD, bought them in a group buy deal when they first came out 2nd or 3rd production run. They were great for the first 20k miles then I couldn't keep them balanced. Wonder if they make them any better?
 
I only have about 3500 miles on them. I guess I should have mentioned that.

I should probably wait a while before recommending these so strongly.


This is my 6th K5 in the last 20 years and I have bought a lot of tires.

I really do like these tires.


Hopefully they make me just as happy in the long run.
