I repaired some motorcycle fairings with zipties and a screwdriver blade looking tipped sodering iron. I bought the HF kit and it SUCKS. Completely worthless. The screen and plastic both just peel right off.
i've had a dedicated soldering iron for it for decades...
JBWeld is not an option?
