What would be easier? 205 question

I've gonna swap in a sm465/np205 combo soon. This NP205 has slip yoke and flange. I've got a 350/205 fixed yoke version also. Which is easier? Change the slip and flange to fixed yokes or just swap the inputs on the cases? Should I keep the flange? Which would you do?

i would guess (since ive never been into a 205), that it would be easier to swap the outputs....but ive been wrong before.

id be all over it if it was a new style np/nvg case.

to swap out put just remove back half. but to do front input all from rear in needs to come out. so easy option is tail only.

Yeah the fixed NP205 is the one I got from you. I had 2 350/NP205s but both were slip and then I got the sm465/np205 and its a slip also. Original plan was to just put the fixed one behind my TH350. But then I had to watch BigPappaB's 454/sm465/np205 in slow crawl action in tellico. I had to have one. I'm wanting the fixed yoke so I can make some square long travel shafts to complement the rear 63"s.

Keep the flange and replace the slip yoke. The slip yoke is easy to replace with simple tools. Just need to watch out for the bearings in the end of the shaft. Can be held in the end when reassembled with common grease. did it to mine.
