what would you pay for this cucv?

alright i know alot of people always ask what a good deal is, and i feel like a noob asking, but nice cucv's are hard to come by around me. that being said, what would you pay for this m1009? i know the guy thinks he has an allison and crap, and its got 10b's, but ive already got built axles and some other parts, i just want a solid platform for a dd/wheeler.

he said 5k was what he'd let it go for, but im trying to talk him down more, becuase i dont have 5k to spend, but it is super clean. what would you pay?

i do, but its going back to 4" lift and 35's on stock axles and eventually going to be forsale. i cant afford the gas. diesel at school is $2.35, and i can get almost double the milage so it makes sense. i thought about diesel swap, but then i have to deal with inspection issues, plus i dont trust myself to get it running correctly

Allison Aircraft Engine, lol, thats a hoot. I'm gonna go out on a branch here and assume its not a V1710 in the engine bay.

sounds like the guy is trying to get more than what it is worth. None of the parts on that blazer are very special. As far as a collectors vehicle it didn't even look like it had the military whip on it. We all know that is pretty much a stock blazer it is super clean though I would give 3 grand if I was looking for something like that

You can get one in great condition for 1/2 that if you get it from the Govt directly.

I hate when guys do this!!!! Why do they inflate what is nothing more than a stock blazer? 5 grand is too high but if you can get him down in his price its nice to not have to search for a running, titled CUCV. Fresh CAMO paint? You can see the uneveness of it in the brown, what a fool.

I think what means is "It has the Detroit Diesel 6.2L in it and not the Chevy (Oldsomobile) 350 diesel."

LOTS of people think the 6.2 is the 350 diesel.
