Now that I got my frame and hangers back I need to get some springs. I plan on runnin' 56's front and rear. Ive searched the threads and have found many answers.... many of the posts are from 2005. Some say go with suburban leafs while others say go with truck leafs. Can someone post what they used if they have same setup? thanks. Im running b-52 hangers up front with front rear hanger in stock location and DIY4X rear shackle flip in back. I know this has been talked to death but there are so many different opinions on the old threads. I would like some imput from someone who has already done it. Thanks

the 56's i got for the rear were out of a 80's chevy truck. was actually the big 10 model of the half ton if i remember right. mine worked out great and very flexy.

If you get a set off a higher-capacity truck -- some of the 1-tons had upwards of nine or ten leaves -- you can remove some of the leaves to balance the pack out.

Is it the 56's or the 60whatever inch springs that some years use different size bushings?

My 73 k5 and 89 3/4 ton burb both had 56's in the rear. From what I have found it is kinda whatever gm felt like putting in with no real logic behind it
