This is my k5. I'm planning on installing 35s cross over and a 6 inch lift.
It's clean enough no elbow grease is required.
Don't forget the steering box brace, check for cracks before it goes
Has had a bolt in kit for at least 4 years, probably get a weld on during the cross over.

Right now transmission rebuild in the Works Still Trying to figure out viable option for fuel injection. Hopefully all that and a cage...
I'm going to install an arb bumper and bump stops and build a mount for my spare tire on the rear bumper.
Basically a ground up build lol.
After reading Riley's build thread I've discovered that by coincidence our builds are going to be very similar. So much so that it would be pointless to do my own build thread. He's tackled all the same obstacles I've anticipated, all the way down to the tossing of the 246 t-case and installing a 241. However, there will be a hand full of differences and I'll try to make note of that here, or Riley's build thread, or on another thread. Our biggest difference is that I'll be running a 37" tire and 5.13 gears.
And here's a couple of pics I took Saturday after all the fun stuff was over. Guys, this literally has got to be the s**ttiest part of doing a sas conversation. Glade that step is over with!!! 
Yeah, that process of hacking and grinding can get old.
Good progress though.

Do you know how many people have done 1 tons and 38's?!
It's not about what has been done, but the slightest twist you put on it yourself. Build threads are great for more than one reason.
On behalf of most of the thread whores here, we ask you do your own build thread also. It's great to see every different angle of a build.
