No, you were supposed to Swap out your diff.
Nah. Straight axle housings are for wimps.
I did clean yours up and wrapped them to keep them clean.
you did that like 4 years ago...
It was a while ago. Bent it at the First dunefest I attended. 2.5 years ago.
Popped the front diff cover for the 1st time since BB '16, to fix a leak.
So there's that. Was hoping to have it together to go wheeling next weekend, best guess is that I hurt it during Blazer Bash.
You need to stop grinding your teeth.
They should make a guard for that
did the teeth get ground up or did you find chunks?
A bunch of big ol' chunks of gear teeth in the bottom of the diff. Lucky it didn't lock anything up at speed. Totally crazy to not have any issues over that and not find it until pulling the cover to fix a leak.
Just pull out the chunks and run it. Think of the weight savings!
Have you called ORD yet?
1. finish escalade
2. build expedition trailer
3. meet internet friends at BB2017
well that seems easy enough
Ill be there, Building me 88 k5 that I just picked up. Adding 1 tons, gears and lockers, lift, tires and 12k winch. Stoked to meet you guys and wheel! Driving out from Durango, CO.
Do you guys mostly camp?
Start at about post 70 in this thread.
There's a hand full of CO guys staying at Moab valley RV. Campground.
Place sounds booked unless you tie your hammock to some bumpers
Preferably a winch bumper.
And make your hammock out of old winch cables
