I've got an 84 w/ the 6.2 The part that holds the rectangle filter mounted to the fire wall is leaking. Not the filter, but the unit that has all the lines going into it it. What's that part called & anybody know where I can get one? I need to get this fixed as it appears to be my air leak in the fuel system.

TIA!!

Model 80 filter housing/fuel heater.

Why not just run a spin on and a Racor instead?

I don't rally care what I use. I just need to replace the unit. I bought a brand new filter today, but the leak didn;t quite. I noticed it coming from the filter housing, so I thought I'd replace that.

So, any idea where I can gete either set-up reasonably priced? Running out of time as I need to get it replaced and emissions tested by the end of the month.

I'm not sure where you'd be able to find either. The model 80 (which is prone to leaking...) would prolly be a dealer item. The spin on housing and the Racor stuff I found at a local parts place. I think cost would be a toss up either way, but the Racor and spin-on won't be leak prone and will give you better filtration as well as give you the water separator feature of the Racor.

You might find someone here selling a used Model 80 off a parts truck...

Does the Racor setup also use the electrical plugs that the Model 80 uses? If not, what do you do with them?

Guess I'll check into the setup.
