Ah, life with a 6 cylinder. All stock, down to the points dist. 250, 3 speed Saginaw,, Dana 20, 3.73 gears, 235/15 rubber. 17mpg on the road and 14-15 in town. It would probably do better if I wasn't at 7-8K altitude.

I spent a few minites adding up how many gallons all 4 of my vehicles hold,and how much it would cost to fill up all 4 at todays prices...it added up to more than I have in my bank account !
....I think its time to sell a few....the 79 C10 and the 81 G10 might have to go!---
I only have 3 insured and registered,its 150 a month just for insurance,leaves me no cash for gas,so I cant drive them much(good deal for my insurance Co,since my chances of having an accident are slim to none if I cant afford to go anywhere
)--and it seems every month I'm getting excise tax bills,plate renewals,inspection stickers---its adding up to about 200+ buck a month,just to let them sit in my driveway... 
--I'd have plent of gas money if I didn't have to give it all away to insurance companies and the registry and taxers..

RV cam (Duration 252/ 262, Lift .398/ .420), Z-28 valve springs, Edelbrock intake and 650 carb, Accel distrib, stock exhaust manifolds, dual 2 1/2 inch exhaust, 350 trans, 203 TC, 4.10 gears, 35 inch tires. Right around 10 in town, and maybe squeak out 12 on highway. In town it depends how hard I drive it - I like the sound of the big tire burning on the tar!
