so does anyone get at least 15mpg on freeway(besides desiel guys)..with 35s and up? is it even possible with torque and hp over 350?

hmmm what to do...I better be thinking bout gas milage before winter so tahoe doesnt seem so far away.
lets see smaller 35s
then run a 700r4 or something with overdrive
regear axles and/or transfer case
tpi or tbi
loose truck weight

yarg wish i could just do this and........n/m....damn ck5 always making me think bout my truck. and its almost 4 in the morn...you suck. :D :D

Rig: 1978 Chevy K20
Motor: 1991 caprice police 350 (convert to carb)
Tire size: 17x40x16.5 hawgs (38.8 true)
Gear Ratio: 4.56
Miles Per Gallon: havent calculated yet but will eventually (hopefully this week)

One big item is what gears you need to run.... alot of people run or say to run 5.13's.... great for a trail rig... I built my truck to be a weekend warrior but under its own power to get out to the trails and come home... no trailering... I went with 4.56's as that was my stock gearing :wink1:
got a d60 front and had to only gear the front (detroit both while at it)

I did however go down a highway @ 74mph.... 3000rpm's!!!!!!
I am definitely going to persue a nv4500 now.... or some kind of overdrive.... :doah:

expecially since regular has just hit $2.51 and not stopping
