Little early in my opinion, but my bank already has one up in the lobby.
most people put them up the week of Thanksgiving if not the weekend of.
Mine goes up black friday.
Okay, maybe I'll drag the fake fiber-obtic tree out of the bedroom closet then.
I think it's traditionally the friday after Thanksgiving. Some radio stations around here already play christmas music full time...
oh crap, were we supposed to take it down???
I saw my first Xmas lights of 2005 today on my way to taking my mom to the hospital for a mammogram..along with Christmas trees lit up in the living room windows, at 1:45 pm! --guess some folks can afford lots of electricity,to leave them on day and night, and start so early in the season..
My Christmas lights are still on the garage--never took them down, all I'll have to do is plug them in!..they came in handy a few times during the summer--a few people wanted to find my house, they knew the street, but not which house..turning on the Christmas lights on the Quonset garage made finding it easy, even during the day!..
I'm not sure if it'll be like years past here as far as lights..some folks always rival the "Griswalds" every Christmas, but things are not so rosy as years past around here..many folks won't be able to pay the electric bill,AND heat the house too--it will be one or the other..I predict less,or more scaled down displays...
Not putting oneup this year.
Looks like I'm going too have too string up the deck pretty soon.
We usually put up our tree sometime fri-sun after Thanksgiving.
Manger comes out on Thanksgiving, but I don't put Baby Jesus out untill Christmas eve.
I don't have the money to run the big C7 & C9 bulbs outside this year, but I'll do something.
They have had the trees up around where I work for 3 weeks now
My parents leave their's up all year.
If the wife or kids want to drag it out and when. Will go to ma and pa's house for the christmas and turkey day. Kids old enough and been bad enough that it don't matter for the present thing. Just try and remember what this season is really for means more. I'll try and do extra little things for people i see around.
