In my old pics of the blazer i had a pic of a vespa 400 pulling the wheels off the ground. Well the same guy that has that just finnished building his bug motor for the second time. Can you guess what he did?

I would have put this in other rides but no one would have seen it. And its just too nice to go unseen.

I like to think that someday, maybe, people will realize that you can't remote link pics from webshots or geocities...

But yeah thats a rather large turbo on that bugger. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Nice - I was reading up on how to Turbo a type 1 VW for my dune buggy project. Its rather easy to build those motors to put out 200hp, all motor, no turbo, nos or blower on pump gas. Power to weight ratio of an 900# car with 200hp.. do the math, thats a just a bit faster than any of the fastest stock production cars. You end up spending a fortune on the trannies to keep them from breaking under the power though.

I live right next door to VW Paradise where they just took the record for the worlds fastest 4 cylender ( cover of Jan 2003 hotVWs magazine) - 6.70 sec / 202 mph 1/4mi , 4.58 e.t at 155.25 mph 1/8 mile . They use a turbocharged 2854cc at 6.0:1 compression running 60psi (yes 60) of boost. The car weighs somewhere around 1490 lbs wet with driver and puts out about 1000 hp... I don't care what kind of hangup you have on american vs foreign cars or anything else for that matter, it all comes down to tuning in your power to weight ratio and making the best of it.. I don't see how anyone wouldn't be impressed.
