I need the sheild and tips (.030 and .035) for my century 85amp welder
From any place that sells welding supplies /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
I've looked around and the parts I see the tip threads are longer and the gas sheilds are different (those in the pic are not mine, I snagged a pic online)
Most of the parts says 'Fits only' and none are century parts
I just got the same welder for Christmas and the guy I got it from had the same trouble finding the Century tips for it. What he did was simply retap the threads on the tip to use Lincoln tips instead. The Lincoln tips are MUCH easier to lay hands on than the Century ones, I think you can even pick them up at Sears.
I ran out to the shop and checked it and the Lincoln tips are 1/4" 28NF threads. I'm not sure about the shield, as I'm not using gas, but if you like I can check the threads and look for any markings on that as well.
Check at Sears.com I think I saw Century tips on there.
i use miller on my century 225 amp wire feed.
Try NorthernTool.com /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
