where did you find your build sheets?

the paper that says what your vehicle was built with.

I never saw mine, but saw a few at the junkyard under seats.

I found the original paperwork in my truck a while back. Had the original owners signatures and all the stuff that went along with the new truck. I've been half tempted to try and contact them (if they're still kicking around that is) and show them what they're truck looks like now

I've found many when we stripped trucks for parts at the junkyard...most often they are between the foam and springs on the seat cushions,I've found some stuck to the gas tank too,and a few were stuck to the back wall of the cab--seen a few under the dash too,or on the top of the glove box,and on the inner front fender ....................................................................................................................................weirdest place I found one was on my own '81 G10 van,one day while I was under it doing an oil change,I saw a peice of paper poking out of a hole in the unibody rail, where I think a hold down would go when they transport new vehicles...at first I thought it was a dollar bill!--so I grabbed my needle nosed pliers and carefully extracted most of it intact...then I was a bit dissapointed to see it was only the build sheet, and not money, like I'd hoped...I'd already replaced its original engine and differential,so it wasn't worth keeping..

I found my '68s underneath that black tar like stuff the factory uses as sound deadening on the driver side floor board.
