where did you get your D60?

I love the bartering thing myself. The wife of a friend of mine HATED his beat up old Chevy. They decided to give it to me. Free of charge. No kidding. Now my wife hates my beat up old chevy but there is no way I'm getting rid of it.

I still unfourtunally dont have a D60 under the front of my truck but I do have access to one. I am still undecided weather or not I want it, but a guy I know has a K30, that he will deliver for $1000. It's got a 350, D60, 14ff, NP205, SM465 etc. He said it ran last time he moved it but not real well. If I decide not to get it, I will let you guys know and, one of you can take it.

Bought mine from a Freind. He had been Sitting on it for around 10 Years. Never got around to installing It. I offered Him $500.00 plus an Eaton dropout, and He took it! Then Spent another 350.00 or so, to go through It. /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

Got mine from a member here for $900.........then rebuilt it COMPLETELY..........not that it needed everything but I wanted that thing NEW. It is...........added a Detroit and it's now bulletproof (I hope!). /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

probably not what you want to hear but I think you would be a fool to pass on it.
of course if you have no place to do the deed or cash is as tight as life usually has it I empathize with you and respect your willingness to pass the deal along.
the good deals are found in inverse proportion to the availability of funds

I found mine on ebay. Mathed set - D60 and 14b FF out of a 87 that had an engine fire. the guy was going to swap the axles into his 3/4 ton but didn't have time before moving to Wyoming. I did buy it now 20 minutes after it went up, got the pair for $1200.

I bought a 1-ton truck from a cement contractor for $1000. I got everything including a good 6.2 that I sold for $1000. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

jeeze this is an old tread! i finally found one. at of all places's a junk yard /forums/images/icons/grin.gif $650

Bought mine from a junkyard in Indiana last fall for 350+100 shipping, 450 total in reasonably good condition, not a solid hunka rust, with 4.10 gears. Just pulled the brakes and locking hubs off the other night to get it ready to tear down and inspect.

I got mine from some guy on Pirate. $700 plus $150 shipped to my work. It came from the East coast. I then changed all the bearings and seals and bought a Detroit for it. Now I need the gears installed (and a custom double) so I can use 4 wheel drive.

I had a "WTB" post here in CK5. For once, someone actually checked that forum BEFORE they posted it FS in the regular FS forum... so he just PMed me and we sorted out the details. Drove over, checked it out, and trucked it home. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
