Where`s a good front speaker spot

Does mounting a 6 1/2 3way down in the front corner of the door sound good? Or is there a better place to put them?
And in the rear , I want to put 6x9`s in front of the seat...can I just cut into the side panel ? Is there enough room behind there?

Acoustically speaking, the further away from you the front speakers are (ie: lower in the door), the better off you are. Equalizing path lengths of sound waves and all that good stuff.

For the other question, I dont know, Ive never cut into a Blazer there before.

I put some 6x9's in front of my rear seat and they were fine...
