Would anybody know a specific make & model of dash speakers that will fit in my 1989 K5 Blazer without making the dash pad bulge and/or interfering with anything?

If I missed something here or on the gooletubes please reply with a link (appreciate it).

TIA

I need new speakers for my dash, current ones seem blown. Scared to damage the dash pad getting it out, so i keep putting it off

I was pleasantly surprised for the price. Especially being driven by the stock head unit.
I was too!
A buddy of mine that’s into stereos pretty heavy suggested these and I responded with “that’s too cheap for those speakers to be better quality than what’s in there already” and I was wrong!!

You could see the difference in materials. My OEM setup sounded great but it doesn’t hold a candle to the noises coming outta these speakers.
After reading up on them I realized that they can handle a lot more power with room to spare so I bought one of their amps/sub-woofer combos and could not be happier for the money spent.

Once I got the factory head unit EQ fine tuned I’m hearing instruments and vocals that I never knew were in songs before - I’ll take the long way now just to have more time to listen to the tunes.

Basically what I’m trying to say is that I did not think that they were gonna be that great because they are fairly affordable ( kind of the ole saying ya get what ya pay for ) they were very good outta the box but once I put a little more power to them it changed everything and they still have room for more power.
Best mod money I have ever spent!

Now I'm getting excited! I thought they were just gonna fit and be decent for that price.

Don’t be afraid to put some electricity to them - you will not be disappointed.
It took me a year before I upgraded and I wish that I had done it earlier - best bang for the buck I ever spent.

The’ve been installed for four years and sound just as crisp as day one.

That’s good to hear! I’ve only had mine for a couple weeks

I'd love to see some pics of the install on these. Fitting decent speakers into the dash usually isn't a drop in replacement type deal, I'd like to see how these fit and what not.

Plus it looks like there might be different style of brackets that same speaker can come with? If the part number given here is the correct one, that'd be helpful to know.

I’ll search but anyone have a good write up on dash removal? They only dashes I have removed to this point have been junk so i didnt care about saving them. My current one is really nice so dont want to cry myself to sleep for the next year

I don't have a write up, and in my limited experience, if any plastic is old I'd just assume it's gonna be brittle and break. Get ready to buy stuff from LMC truck or be good with JB weld. The dash itself is pretty strong but it was everything around it that snapped and I had to replace/jbweld. If your the type of person that easily looses small parts (like myself) order those "clips" ahead of time.

I know you said you ordered some already but i put these in my 89 burb and they sound great and fit under the dash pad with no modification

I’m not sure on the colors. When I got my stuff it came with adapters so I just plugged and played! You got em fast though!

Interest further peaked by your under seat sub. Im wanting to add one as well. Can you post what amp you are going to run to power that sub?

You are happy with the speakers?
