Who is running a 4L80 and behind what with which transfer case?

supersize75k5...has run a bunch of them!

What do you think bout running it behind a SBC?

Are you running a computer controlled 350? I only did it because I was running a 5.3L and I didn't have to buy a standalone computer just for the 4L80E.

Plus I got the trans for $500.00

No, carb right now and MSD Atomic FI down the road.

I have had a few 4l80 . 1 was in my old 2wd crew cab with 350 . was a 96 truck . did great with anything I tossed at it .

then I swapped 1 in a 88c2500ld I had that was a bad 700r4 . ran that for a few years no problems . its currently sitting in STUBBY waiting to run again .

also these seem to be the guys for best standalone . few guys here have the unit and love it . http://www.usshift.com/index.shtml

and for 4wd check my build thread for some ideas and info . http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=253000

I got to get with you, I need help rebuilding my Dana 60. You offered before as long as I could get it to and from you house. Still ok with that? I have two master kingpin kits and new you joints. Already did inner seals.

Also while I am at it, any 14bff with 4.56 and a locker you like to sell? SRW. I thought I had a 60 and 14 bought to replace my existing 60 and 14 but the seller seams like he has better things to do sometimes.

ya we do your 60 up easy . my shop is set up now these days since I moved in back in nov .

I might now a guy with a 14ff 4.56/Detroit. I got to catch up with him anyway .

It be atleast a month on getting with the 60, it is buried in 5' of that snow that piled up there, that is just my yard (tug hill). The 14 bolt I'll take before that if it all works out. Buying some tires this week, but I am running pretty slow with things, my chemotherapy treatments wipe me the hell out.

tell me about snow . I drive tow truck and I got a lot of seat time this season in my plow truck making way for our trucks to get there and work and get out .

good luck on treatments !

let me know when your ready .

I got shop lift / engine hoist to pick it up and work with it .

Excellent, looking forward to shooting the sh$t with you. Let about the 14 bolt ff when you get there.

I've got a 4l80e between a 5.3L and an NP241. i'm running a trail-tech fab adapter between the trans and t-case with the case clocked flat. mounted on a home made crossmember.

That is pretty slick. That is something worth looking into, right I am trying to work the bugs out of the rest of the truck. But I want to keep the wheel going. Hope to putting a overdrive in this fall. Only question is BBC or LS, it is a absolute on the 4l80.

How many of you guys have used low mile used versus rebuilt transmissions?

fyi t400 to 4l80-e only gets you overdrive and lockup .

same 1-2-3-r ratios inside.

not like a 700r4 low 1st .
