6.5 intake Will it flow more than my non Jcode intake?
I believe both share the same overall dimensions, since I have seen a rebuild starting with 93 6.2 punched out to 6.5 and used all 6.5 accessories and Turbo.
It will bolt up to the heads, but you won't be able to use your round air cleaner, without some modifications, since this intake has a hexagonal shape to it. You will also have to adapt your CDR lines to fit this intake.
I would recommend waiting for a 6.2 J intake that came off of the same body style as your truck (82-87) , it will be a direct bolt on.
Awesome!! Thank you!
Now, I just have to scrounge up 80 bucks to get a Jcode....
Carl is correct, it will bolt right up, but your air cleaner won't fit. It's designed to bolt to the pressure housing coming from the turbo on the 6.5L setup.
You'd be better off with a J code intake from an 88-92 6.2L.
