i have a k5 tailgate i need to ship...would UPS ship something this big?
If I can ship a bike..then yeah, They'll ship a tailgate...
You expect it to be stright when you get it? /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif thats rich!
what do you do just bring the thing in there and tell them to package it up..?
You better package that thing up yourself if you want it to arrive straight and in one piece /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Greyhound is a lot cheaper! They ship large items. Had a Blazer rear seat shipped from KS to WA for $35. Recipient just has to pick up the item at the bus station.
insure that tailgate!!!!
FedEx and UPS (Ground) both have the same dimension rules: 130 inches of combined length and girth. Girth the distance all the way around and length is always the largest of the three dimesions. UPS will ship something this size for about $25. FedEX Ground charges $14. These are for things that aren't too heavy, though. After that, you have to ship it as freight and the rates there start about $100.
Probably best to find a local freight shipping company that can make you a deal at some time when they are already running, but not full.
well the thing weighs like 55 pounds. this sounds like a major PITA...almost makes me want to send the fricken money back! i can package it up myself...but i just want someplace to take the thing to and have it be done!! someplace near rochester N.Y thats not wayy out of the way! /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
