Ok I am replacing the window motor in my truck the new motor says to install motor while in the "park position" so I did that however when I went tu roll the window up again the motor doesnt run it just turns the light on and off under the dash. Whast the problem here did I have a bad motor afterall?

before I bought the new motor this didnt happen when I rolled up and down the other window in the truck.

    any suggestions would be helpful.

It sounds like the motor is jammed or shorted. Did you try running it before you installed it to the window? if the window mechanism won't let it turn it will appear shorted and cause your interior lights to dim. be sure the window mechanism isn't binding, if necessary remove the motor from the bracket and see if it will run. is it a new or used motor? also check to be sure you didn't pinch one of the wires.
