We got 18" of freaking Snow in 24 hours. This crap sucks..........................
yuk! we only got 2" snow but -15
Yeah, well, it's a balmy 6 degrees outside here right now!
oh and by the way it is headed your way merry xmas!
Yeah, they said a high of 8 Degrees here on Christmas
Are you kidding? That kind of snow rocks! I love being the only ride in town able to go out. The Blazer is FUN in that crap! Lot of money to be made pulling dummies in Explorers and escalades out of ditches too!
i concur! between the plow and the strap, the more white stuff we get, the more money the old girl makes, and the more money means more improvements for her.
During the Blizzard of 03 here in Denver, we got three feet in about 24 hours. My Blazer was the only medical transport for the City of Wheat Ridge for 12 hours. They had the highways and main drags semi-plowed, so ambulances could get within a few blocks of a job, but I was meeting them there and taking them to the scene and picking up the patients. Very good time.
Very kewl !!!! You would think places that get heavy snow would build emergency vehicles designed for the weather.
Here in Truckee we get some of the deepest snow in the US. Not as cold as the east, just more snow. Not as dry as the rocky's. During wet years a big dump can be 10 feet in 24 hours. On the summit, they can have 25-30 feet. They have doors on the second floor with no stairs that they use in the winter. many have wooden tunnels to their doors from the street. Lately it's been much less snow because of drought conditions. Thank God!! Actually that much snow isn't a big problem because it the norm here and we are REALLY set up for it. Plus Cal Trans has there plow operations here in town for Interstate 80 (major interstate across the USA). Snow due this week...Will see how much then.
we only got 8in. but it's freezing. 1 degree tonight.
