It's coming down to the wire, so to speak, to get my K5 ready for BB20. I'd like to get it fired up this weekend and work out any bugs so I can take it to Tuttle Creek for a test run.
The issues I'm having are where to hook up the wires from the rebuilt harness. As stated in another thread I figured out the purple solenoid wire. But the rest have me scratching my head.
The rebuilt harness was not labeled but I was able to get them identified. I wish they would have sent some instructions as to where the wiring hooks up to. I don't want to cook anything.
1. Blue wire.....For the fan. I'm not using one so easy peasy....not hooking this one up.
2. Pink wire.....For the ignition. I have a pink ignition wire coming from the firewall so that is where I will attach this one.
3. Purple wire...For starter solenoid. Got this one figured out.
4. Gray wire....For fuel pump. Pink and Tan/white go from tank into firewall. ?
5. White wire....For tach. Does this hook up to my tach gauge?
6. Tan wire....For charge light. Does this hook up to my Volt gauge?
7. Green wire....For VSS. Research says that the 4l80e sensors will work as my PCM signal? Other than that, I don't have VSS on the NP241.
8. Red wire....For brake. Emergency brake light? Not sure.
9. Gray/red wire...For Check Engine. I believe this will hook up to my CES light in the gauge panel.
I never claimed to be the sharpest tool in the shed, but this can't be that hard. What am I missing? Besides some fried brain cells from all those concerts I attended back in the day.
