Wl: 1982 k30 3+3

I don't have many pictures of actually offroading with it, but I found some from a few years back. Here they are:

A buddy's 1973 K20. He blew both external lockout hubs on his Dana 44. I had to pull him up the hill.

Another buddy's mid 70's K5. He blew a front axles shaft here, but the front end was welded, so he kept going in three wheel drive after this.

It has a Lockright in the rear, but it is open in the front.

Looks tough, and a lot of fun. Keep it up.

Are you still going to go back and snag that good front bumper with the turn signals in it?

The offroading pictures are in Kansas at Tuttle Creek. It doesn't look like that where I live. It is all corn and bean fields, and the trees are only in the fence lines, because everything is irrigated with center pivots.

Actually, I was looking at the pics in your previous post (#56), where the brush guard is still on the truck. Lots of corn...which is something we don't see much of in western Washington.

Haha. Well damn, that is at my house, so yeah, that is definitely in Nebraska, not Kansas. I guess I also think corn fields are beautiful, but I don't hear many others who feel that way. That is all there is around where I live, but you go just West of here, and you are in the sand.

Thanks. It is a giant pos, but I have had some fun in it. As far as the bumper, no. I never did go back for it, and in fact have let a couple go to iron that I could have had for free. I should have grabbed those.

I bought a 1991 K3500 today with a TBI 454, SM465. I hope to strip it, and throw this engine along with the TBI setup into this K30. It has a newer engine in, the rest of the pickup is junk. I also paid way more than I would have liked to ($600), but now I have a complete TBI set up. I can strip a few parts off of it, haul the rest in for iron, and only be out a couple hundred dollars.

Here are a couple crappy cell phone pictures of it:

It already has a 454 in it, but it's carbureted, and pretty tired. This one is in a lot better condition, and TBI.

Martin

Not even sure it is complete right now. He was going through a rash of 60 parts for awhile. Last I saw the tbi truck the grill and radiator was pulled.

The Dana 60 is damn near an empty housing. I robbed it of parts to keep my Blazer on (off?) the road all summer.

I just realized I never updated this. Not that I've done a lot, but I did put the front axle back together. I bought a Dodge Dana 61 for $300. Used the parts from it to replace all the parts I stole from this truck to keep my Dana 60 under my 1990 K5 going last year. Got it drive able, took it for a drive, and realized it needs a lot of work.
