My truck ran for 2 days in a row, damn I'm good.
Does this mean it died on the 3rd day?
Nope, today is day 3 and it's still running.
After 2 months of problems I can't help but celebrate each day without a glitch.
and on the 4th day it will rise again from the dead.
Noooooooo................Code 32, Code 32, doctor to the ER.
Scott jinxed me, popped a code 32 on the way home from his office. CRAP.
And for those of us who don't have computers in our trucks that is?
CODE 32: An EGR failure will set this code. Either a faulty egr valve, egr temp switch or egr control solenoid.
Or so they tell me.
It is an intermittant problem. I reset the ECM, took another drive and never popped the code.
I never get any of those codes with the carburetor.
Phhhhhhhhhhtttttttttttttt... Thank you so much for your continued moral support.
I picked up a 88 through 2000 manual last night, I have a much better understanding of the system this morning. Did the EGR test and found it to be defective according to the given parameters. Sighhhhhhhhh.
Goodbye 50 bucks, it was nice knowing you. One day we shall meet again in another life.
Yet another reason why I want to do a new aftermarket setup. You know Don is having issues with his TBI, too.
Well I'll tell you what, having a manual makes a big difference. I think it's similar to the D44 discussion we were having. Getting a used part and expecting it to perform like new. I just need to replace some of the old used sensors and all will be well.
Tell Don to pick up a mannyuhaul.
Day four, new egr solenoid.
