Hey guys, I don't remember if I ever did an actual intro, so here it is. My name is Travis, and and I'm an alcoholic. Ooh, wait a minute....wrong place. Seriously though, I've been lurking for a quite a while and a member for a short time. I just paid my dues to become a full member. I wanted to wait until I got my truck. Well, I just got my new '77 K5 delivered to my door today. Here it is. It needs a little TLC, but nothing I can't handle. I think it was a steal for the $1300 that I paid though. It's got a 350/SM465. I'm not sure what transfer case it is as the tag on the back is missing, but it has 0-99404 cast into the back housing if anyone could help me out on that one. It's got a 10-bolt frt/12-bolt rear. There is already two pretty new 36/12.5 TSL SX's on the back, so I need to get two more. I think it's a 6 inch lift, all spring, so I don't have to mess with taking out blocks. There's a lot of little stuff that I need to fix, or change. I already plan on switching to a shackle flip in the rear and 52's up front for better flex eventually, but this will do for now. I recently sold my '68 Olds 442, and well, I needed a replacement. I wanted a K5 when I was 16 for my first car, and now, just 8 years later I finally got one. A little history on myself. I attended WyoTech, did the whole kit and kaboodle and graduated in '03 towards the top of my class. I worked at a rod shop for a little while, but couldn't make the money in this part of the country. So I went back to drafting, at the same company I was working for before I went to WyoTech none the less. I'm no moron when it comes to wrenching and building stuff, but I may need a refreshment now and then. I really like the demeanor of the members here. Ya'll seem like people I would call friends. I see that there are quite a few from the Houston area, and would like to meet up some time. I'm not too far from the Spring playgrounds, so maybe I'll see some of you there. Sorry for long winded post, I'm just excited to finally have my truck and be an official member of the best pbb on the net. edit: to reroute pics.
