I finally finished the facelift on my crewcab! After 6 months it's finally painted, has a 6" lift, 35" BFG's and Weld wheels. I will admit, it's a poser right now - no front driveshaft until I can get the exhaust redone. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This is how it looked when I bought it in looked in October

Did you repaint it or just re-wax the old paint?

Yeah, it's an old Air Force truck that I won off of Ebay from a dealer in Pheonix Az. I got lucky because it was in pretty good shape when I got it and it runs really good (I just wish it had a 454).

I had it repainted, the original paint was flat in areas and peeling (peeling but NO RUST! You've got to love the west coast!). I had to have a bunch of body work done to the bed and fenders, it's not perfect but I real happy with it.

Thanks for all of the compliments, I really appreciate it! I'm thrilled to death that I will finally be one of the guys you see running around in a sweet daily driver. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mine has a TBI 350, 4L80E auto and a 205. I wish it had a 454, the 350 runs good but it definitely needs more power. I'll be swapping in some 5.13's in a couple of months to help the motor.

It does have A/C but that's about all as far as creature comfort options. No complaints though, I figure the simpler the better in the long run.

    Thanks again guys!

The color was a little hard to match because it's an Air Force color. I finally was able to make a 95% match (at a local paint supply store) with a blue from a 95 C1500.

That is sweet! I can't wait to get my trail rig done so I can start on my 88 crew cab. I was going to go with a 4 inch and 33's so I could pull a gooseneck, but now you have me thinking about the 6 and 35's. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif What brand lift did ya go with and did ya use blocks in the back or new springs?
