Here's a classmate on combustion turbine 2 ($40 million) re-attaching a purge-air line. Please note the manhole in the bottom left of the picture. I got nominated for the next outage (smallest guy) to feed inserts from all the way around the turbine back through that hole. Working on the stack dampers. These are cans, basically 14 1500# burners that run the turbine. We pulled all these to change the inserts just inside. The next outage we're going to do CT1, and we have to go even further inside, I'm told it's a great PITA. That's a can on the left, with most of the pigtails back on it. I couldn't find much by way of pictures on Google, but it's a GE 7FA turbine.
