The first time for any precip in what seems like months.
Sweet Fred, keep posted as to how much it snows by next week. I want to take the kids to play in the snow possibly next weekend if there's enough snow..
Yeah, and it's finally cold enough to have hot chocolate tonight down in the valley. Anybody in the White Mountains get snow?
Cause you live in the mountains fred!!! All us flat landers down here; need to stay low where all the O 2 is at.
White Mtn's got a touch, Got about 7 drops of rain sat. night in Tucson. Gonna be a bad fire summer.
My family lives down in Glendale, AZ and if my dad ever saw snow there he would probably have a heart attack.
There was snow in the Phoenix Metro Area (east valley) when I was a kid.
I saw it once a few years ago on the SR51 at night, real brief and nothing stuck, suprised me though
Update- Oh well, very short indeed, maybe 1/2" if that, it's all gone now. I'm still waiting for 12"+, I wanna snow wheel
I remember Cave Creek getting dusted with it more than a few years back . But we haven't good chances for snow , or any real significant rain like we should since the 80's .
Hey, hey, hey!!! Snow has stuck around here for a couple of days before. Usually in the shade and no more than say an inch.
But it has stuck. Squaw Peak even had enough once that you could use those little saucer things to slide down the hills.
I'm not foolin'!
I just drove through Prescott Valley today to get to Prescott and I saw this snow thing with my own two eyes. actually took a cell phone picture to show the girlfriend. not a lot but still mounded up in the shadows. as a side note to any one who lives in phoenix and is trying to get a policy through SCF in a hurry, go to the prescott office. four hours of driving round trip but they got me done the same day. the Phoenix office told me they would take my name/number and call me back in 4 to 5 weeks to set up an apointment. what a load of crap (SCF is for Workmans Comp. policies for those who may not know).
