Fun with a hummer...
Sorry if it's a repost.
Why does that seem like it broke too easy?
No kidding... I know they are not the 'wheelers" the owners think they are.. but it did break a little easy.
Pretty funny chit though...
i can not see it i got a work firewall on it --- is this the one when the tie rod snaps ?
Yeah that's what it looks like.
haha, I can't believe I sTILL click on these links, I have seen that video like 300+ times
Well if that was a first gen H1 I'd be suprised.
Isn't the H2 basically a civie commuter? I never assumed they built them to do anything but drive down to the grocery with bling-bling rims.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
you are right. If memory serves they are a tahoe chassis with an H2 body.
Funny. I had a tie rod break while driving on the highway. Not funny. Fortunately I was not moving fast at all and the Blazer came to an abrubt stop.
That did go pretty easy, I've taken my Tahoe up worse than that (granted I didn't see what they went through to get there)
My friend's '03 2500HD did that 3 times, then he put a D60 under it and hasn't had any problems since.
H1's arent invincible when I was at an offroad park about a month ago there were two H1's and one broke a CV shaft on the trail. I didnt see it happen but saw them fixing it. I was blown away to see a hummer driver actually working on their own ****!
Not exactly just a body on a tahoe chasis. It shares more wiht the 3/4 ton burb than with anything else. Cept instead of rear leaf springs, it has a beefed up version of the tahoe's 5 link or whatever coil setup. And i think the 14bolt rear has a different cover thats not supposed to peal as easily or something
how about the H1 that fell over on it's side, back in ohhhhh ... 98 or so durring the TTC while doing the obsticle course. It made the turn up at the top of the hill and just went over... I guess it's hard to see how steep something is on video ... (that's always seemed the case to me after watching my own wheeling vids) but none of the other trucks even looked tippy there..
