My buddy bought a beater '83-'85 gmc/chevy truck for 1500 it's got some big axles under it. They are 8 lug axles. Are they just a heavy chevy axle or could they be dana's? I'm lazy and it's icy outside and the garage is full of crap so I don't wanna crawl under the truck if I don't have to. I'll snap some pics of them tonight.

dana 44, dana 60, 10-bolt, 14bolt ff, 14-bolt sf. Pics and descriptions help

ya know. thats a real pleasant avy you got there.:haha::haha::haha:
lol thanks :D And back to topic, if its original and its a 3/4 ton, then its going to have the 10-bolt up front but it could have the 14 bolt semi-floater or the full-floater in the rear. If its 1-ton then its going to have the dana 60 in the front and the 14bff in the rear

1983-1985 k20 would have 10 bolt front and sf14 bolt rear 8-lug. k30 would have d60 front and 14ff rear. Camper special k20's or any higher than 6800 gvwr had 14ff rears instead of the 14sf. Who knows with a 25 year old truck, my 74 has has at least 4 different rear ends and 2 different front ends that I know about and ive had it for 5 years.

edit: you beat me to it,
