Hoping to install a 4 inch lift this coming weekend and curious for the zero rate should I put it forward or dead nutz center while running DIY4X 4.5 rear shackle flip?

Will be using TC springs, Ford F250 shock towers with bilstein 5125.

On the rear axle? Imo, when using a shackle flip I'd go at least 1" offset rearward to center the axle in the wheelwell.

referring to front axle.

Figured with 4 inch in front and 4.5 shackle flip in rear going to sit raked which I hate the look of more of level type guy.

I gotcha. I'm the same way, I'd ether use the ZR or pull the rear overload. 1" forward would be helpful (approach angle) and probably not noticeable.

most move it forward for the approach angle as mentioned above and to keep the tire away from the firewall.

With the 4" lift I had on mine, and including going to a 6" lift, I was able to use the zero rate and move the axle 1" forward to center the wheel in the wheel well. A lot less trimming when it was finished.

should not need a front drive shaft for 1 inch forward to my knowledge.

I've seen spacers for the front shafts as well, never used one but that could be an option if you needed it

I would definitely run a zero rate in the rear with a shackle flip. The flip tends to move the axle forward. I ran front and rear zero rates, moving both axles 1.5" in opposite directions. It makes the rear look so much better and helps center the tire during stuffing. Without moving the axle rearward 1.5", my 38s would grab the front lip of the wheel opening during hard bouncing, throttle... which still happened at least once. That should tell you I still wasn't completely centered.

The front was also 1.5" forward. I run 37" tires, but started on 38s. If you saw my inner fender rub from the tires, moving the axle forward 1.5" is spot on because I have equal rub front to back. If you have crossover steering, move the axle the full amount forward.

So what I am gather here is move front axle 1 inch forward with 4 inch T/C springs with 35's and might need to do lite fender trimming. For rear guess I am going to see how DIY4X 4.5 shackle plays out as it is .5 bigger then ORD's so maybe it will level itself out?

Any input will be taken here.

Yes once all installed might be few weeks now , I will post pic's of results cause we all want to know WTF it will look like for sure!
