pressure washer, wire wheel and Rustoleum paint and the frame was prepped
The 56" rear springs and all the 4x4 brackets needed to be removed from the wrecked frame, and installed on the 2wd frame
With both garages full with other projects, the suburban would have to be built and painted outside before the first snow in 2 months.

before I dug into the frame build and swap, I wanted to lock up the 3/4 ton tub till body work time
the 2wd drive frame made a perfect blank slate for a long leaf front lift
the glass was perfect so I wanted to keep that as well
