Black for an engine is never an option.
I've shot black paint on a block... it made me feel better about the oil leaks.
But wasn’t the vortec block originally black?
GM messed up.
For the year of the truck Orange looks good when you open the hood.
Actually I don’t mind the blue engines from the mid 70s, looks nice if they are clean.

It's not even debatable, it should be orange.

Orange. Unless you like the Halloween engine look.
I mean I don't hate it, but that is what I think when I see orange and black together. The aluminum intake helps.
