‘76 K5 LS swap fiberglass body

It’s been a while since I updated this thread so here is what has been going on. I got the blazer home and stored before any snow and salt came. Will be ordering new dash pad, carpet, and retro sound radio soon.

As for the parts blazer, the frame is patched, body parts and rear suspension are installed, it runs and drives again. Still needs brakes fixed for stopping and front suspension swapped over.

We finally got the blazer together enough to drive into town this past weekend. The only interior installed is the gauge cluster, front seats, and front seat belts. i still need to restore all the trim as well as about 100 other things, but this was still a major milestone! we did run into an over heating issue which i will be digging into as well in the near future.

No new car smell yet KTmoutfront. That comes with the completed interior...

It's late, but you may want to consider hiring an independent auto appraiser to document and value the SUV. An independent documentation for replication wouldn't hurt.

Real world problem is a corporate bean counter adjuster would average two book values and want to pay off NADA value.

Even Old Cars Report Price Guide which used to be a good source for hi end vintage cars has a low value against Resto Mod values v. Costs.

Velocity starts around $100k for a restoration and upwards of $250k for a Resto Mod.

DuPont magazine might be a good starting point searching for the right insurance and people to document & value your truck. Years back, it was common to re Appraise classic cars annual.

Chubb Insurance or Haggery are preferred under writers of hi end property.

CT-Blazer, we are working on a name-your-price antique coverage through country. The body shop who did the prep/paint also does appraisals which is in the works. Once the truck is completely finished, we will update the coverage to a higher value as well.

Funny you guys mention plaid. This is the basic idea for the seat covers we will have made. We will use this exact plaid but will need to select the right vinyl for the surround.

Are you sure .... Just saw Velocity's 1st gen Resto Mod.... The interior is as wild as the build.

We want this truck to look factory at first glance. (Minus opening the hood). No way we will do something like that velocity photo.
