Any of y’all have experience with “hobbyist” quality lifts? I’m looking to increase storage but still be able to get a car/truck up in the air to work on when needed, so I was figuring 1, 2 post lift and a handful of 4 post lifts.

Found these but have no real preference over any others.
Price seemed reasonable and they where slightly wider than the others.

· Auto Lift AL2-9K-ACX 9,000 lb. Asymmetric 2 Post Car Lift

· Auto Lift Car-Park-8-PlusP Extra Tall 8K lb Car Storage Parking Lift

Have to stay with 110V units.
Like the idea of casters on the 4 post lifts so it's portable, to an extent. Plus I may be able to get a few cars stashed in the loft with the right lift.
Any suggestions?

I know a number of guys with the Chinese 4 post lifts and they are ok. Portable with wheels means unloaded. One guy actually thought he could move it with his full size bronco on it.

2 post, go with a premium brand. If you want to lift a 10k truck, go with a 12k lift.

I have a 4 post Danmar lift with the wheel kit. No complaints and it’s easily moved around by myself.

did 2 direct lift brand 4 post stacker units with wheels for a friends shop nd his cars . good bang for the buck yes .

and as said if 2 post get a SOLID name brand unit . my shop come with a china 9k and its o.k. but its also a pile of crap when your use to quality lifts .

rotary / forward = good . forward is there budget brand .

bendpack decent but watch the quality level .

if you can find a deal on a used one you can not beat a mohawk . there made 4hr's east of me in upstate ny and sorce almost all parts from usa and canada when possible . there built to last even threw a nuke boom drop .

Thanks all for the replies.
Getting a better quality 2 post lift seems like a good idea.
The 4 post will be for storage mostly and at the rate I'm getting shit done, they only have to go up once!!!

Anyways, have a few weeks before the barn is finished. Thought I'd buy my own Christmas gift year.
