So had the truck out at rausch over the weekend. Honestly it did amazing. I have a few complaints but nothing that I wasnt already planning on addressing. Ran trails such as yellow jacket, crawl daddy, trail 5 hill climb, 20, and more with ease. Tried shoot the moon in the pouring rain but it was just too slick. Some pics for ya.
Was a good trip with a good mix of rigs and the usual awesome group of friends.
So the plans over the next few weeks are as follows.
First
Rear shock setup needs to be changed. I setup up the Bilsteins as a “temporary” solution for the koh trip until I could afford a good set for the rear. But my goal is to setup a pair of 2.5 by 12in travel remote resi fox’s to help control the leafs. And to play with the leaf packs to soften them up a bit. I also have a mini truss for the rear that will incorporate bump pads. The way things are looking in order to fit the shocks how I want I’ll have to inboard sections of the rear frame so it’s looking to get pretty in-depth.
Second
The internal cage is gonna be built. I ordered a set of prp seats a few weeks ago that are showing up Saturday so I’ll be able to really start “designing” and mocking up for the cage. It will also be integral for my rear shock setup as they will be coming through the floor and mounting to the cage.
Third
is a few items such as building a rear bumper, bending my “fender tube” the will run the edges of the wheel arch’s (what I’ll be mounting my remote resi’s on the front to), and ordering up some legitimate bump stops so I can ditch the crap day stars that I’ve blown out twice now and also set up the bumps for the rear suspension.
Stay tuned!
