What about triple bar roll bars :dunno: I have two double bar roll bars I could combine them and make a quadruple roll bar! Ain't nothing more bad a$$ then a square body with a visor and triple bar roll bar:thumb:................:haha:

So bought this truck because I sold my superduty. I wanted something cheaper and wasnt going to keep breaking down on me every other week. Its an 01' with a 6.0. 167,000 miles on it alleged rebuilt trans (no paper work). Runs and drives great only really has cosmetic problems. Such as rockers and cab corners are gone and some dents here and there and the black box. Right now just daily driving the truck and plan on fixing little things here and there as I have time. Perhaps this winter she'll go under the knife if things go to plan :whistle:


Truck is tall enough to clear 44"s....barely :woot:


All the trucks togethor before I sold the superduty


First order of business was decorate the tail gate. Then speedo went out had to replace the speed sensor. Then put it on the lift to replace the hacked exhaust job on the truck that hung below the frame.


Had enough chunks of 3" laying around and two brand new thrush mufflers to piece togethor an exhaust for free.

All in and tucked up out of the way now.


I just need some turn downs and it will be complete. Exhaust looks and sounds much better now.

 
The pipes are right next to each other and no crossover?

:dunno: didnt really think about it. I pieced the exhaust togethor completey out of 3" scraps I found all around so material was limited. Hence why you see about a 3" piece butt welded in there in one of the pics.


What is the real purpose of doing an x-pipe? Whats the benefit?

Well I dont think ive stated the plans for the truck yet. So heres the plan. All my "wheeling" has been is silver lake. And I have the raped grape truck for that which will be completed this winter. Id really like to get into other types of wheeling. More trails over night camping stuff some mild rocks, things of that nature. Much like the over land adventures like rich and luke (blue85) do.

The truck still has the Ifs suspension lift and will for the summer. This summer im really only doing cosmetic stuff and some engine tuning stuff. Next gs on the list are get box painted and get my ecm to a tuner guy I know whose going to tune this thing and wake it up a little bit.

My plan is always to keep the truck road legal so I can still drive it. But I have began to collect parts.

Looking at doing a d60 sas swap with parrallel 4 link keeping mechanical cross over steering. In the rear remove the block and do a shackle flip with some better shocks. Do a re gear in the axles probally do 4.88's id like to run 37"s or 38"s. Ill probally lower the truck an inch or 2 if I can and just do some minor trimming if need be for clearence.

Other than that ill be doing other things such as lights spare tire holder. Some sort of tool organizer. Just things to try and make the truck self sufficient on a trail.
