My friends looking to buy one. got 80k on it with the auto tranny and the 4 cylinder. Any ideas how reliable the motors are on them? Hes worried about buying it and having the motor go soon after. Thanks guys.

Ive personally put motors into these working at the dealership... and its hit or miss. Ive seen the rods go through the block and head gaskets go...more or less its 120,000 mile car. a throw away car. you can get them with lower miles. They are just not designed to last and are a pain to replace. Oh and do not pull the crank pulley off, cause then youll have to re-time the motor. (trust me its not fun) and youll need specialty tools to do it

Good I try to stay away from anything ford unless its much older, just is made poorly now a dayss
