Emmettology 101

Hello all.
My father has an '02 Yukon and from day one the brakes have been on the spongy side. The first couple times he took it in, they felt nothing was wrong with it. Then I talked to a friend and he checked it over(same dealer) and he felt somethign was wrong. He changed the master cylinder but still no change. He has been searching for something ever since, but no luck..
If I am at a light and push har don the brakes, the pedal will go to the floor. And when driving down the road, it seems to take more pedal effort than need be to get the truck to stop..
Anyone else experience this and get theirs fixed?
