new member here!!!! Dont hurt my feelers to bad! just scored a 04 leather one piece seat. Looking to see how everyone is doing mounting to install. Im aware merrick garage sells a bracket kit but just can't muster the cost of it welded and shipped. Let's see the mounting brackets!
Going in a 76 k5.

I took some 1.5 tube, and 3" wide 3/16 for mounting tabs. I welded on some junkyard tahoe/suburban mounting rings. No pics at the moment, my laptop got smoked.

I basically built a ladder out of some 1x2 rectangle tube, made some tabs and bolted the seat directly to it. No fold and tumble function here though, I needed the seat as low as possible so I ditched the factory latches.

I took the 3rd row seat and floor out of the same model year Escalade. The rear floor in my Blazer is getting eaten up w/ rust so it will be a welcome upgrade when I eventually get to it.

I had thoughts of using the rear floor mount brackets, bolt them down with a riser to elevate the back of the seat, get another set of rear floor mount brackets for the front. (I obtained the seat and going back to ole boys place tomorrow whom I got the seat from for the rear floor mount brackets) I don't have access to using a welder and not really wanting to cut up my rear floor.

Search around on Ebay and you can find some aftermarket floor cleats. They will allow you to bolt your Tahoe seat right into your blazer. In full transparency I wasn't a huge fan. I had to stack a bunch of washers on top the floor to get the cleats to work. So that combined w/ a thin 50 year old floor gave me enough safety concern sto scrap that option.

By the time you run around get the parts and make it work i would just step up and get the ones from Merricks, you know it will fit and be safe.

Has anyone else done an install like this?

I have the same ebay bracket set and a split 3rd row seat out of a Suburban. Thinking I'd drill the mount holes directly into the floor, but then use a 2 or 3" square plate on either side of the flooring to sandwich it together and distribute the load over a wider base.
