How would u feel to get out ran by a 1971 K5? That is what happened to my boss in his brand new stang, Just thought that I would share.

wtf do you have done to your K5? Or is he THAT bad a driver? I mean stock GTs aren't crazy fast, but stock K5s are about as slow as a fat woman going to the gym.

for a second I thought you meant the Ford GT... not some POS stang. lol! Even if you stuffed a Fall Guy rocket motor in a k5, it wouldn't beat the real GT. ;)

As much as some of you guys will call BS, I've pulled on some cars in my K5. Start off in low range upto 40-45ish then slap her in neutral and put it in 2wd. I never did it alot, but she put up a pretty good fight against a few cars and toasted a neon and....a Cherokee...lol.

I don;t doubt it, depending on the engine. Theres a few trucks around here that would have no trouble smoking some cars.

Mines not yet one of them.....but will be when I put the 8-71 on it and the 4.25" crank in it.

 You had time to do all that? That's some slick gear shifting!

Yeah last year I had to sell my 91 v10 scottsdale edition blazer, but it would outrun new mustang gts from a roll, and inch away from a stop. Of course it had a 6.0/4l80e, z06 cam, port matched heads, and a good tune. so its not that hard to believe, I was pushing 315 rwhp.

with a healthy amount of power, no doubt in my mind it would beat stangs or other cars. do you have any pics of your truck? love to see what it looked like.

now if you can do that will having 38's or bigger;) , then your rig is badass!

Only takes a couple seconds. Always have to be careful to not put it into reverse though.:eek1:

If you have seconds to do a single shifting operation, you aren't going anywhere fast :wink1:

Call BS if you want cause I know and he does to, as far as what I have done lets just say it used to be a 350 till we got a little crazy at work, it's not on 38s just 35s! Just thought I would share

I have seen it happen as well. I had a kid keep trying me with a 4.6 couger so I finally ran him (when I had 33's on the rig) and I beat him 3 out of 3 races. Oh yea he wasn't much of a driver either.
