I know there's more than a few old rigs running around with LS engines in them.

My question is, is able '06 a good candidate for an older swap. I've got a line on a complete low mile runner 5.3 for 1500 with all accessories throttle pedal and an LS1 intake.

Fair?

Not a bad deal Luke! It'll fit nice in your car, but keep in mind that if you want to run the LS1 intake you must run the car accessories and brackets as well.

I am sure you can wiggle Andrew down a bit though, hahaha :D

Ya I'm just thinking about it still. LoL.

I was going to hold out for an aluminum block 6.2 but I dunno.

Ya it's not for a truck though. For my 73 z28. Engine bay is pretty big but not very tall. And it'll eat twin hx35 turbos I think.

nice....:bow::bow::bow::waytogo:

I miss my 79...wish I had pics of it.

Lol ya picture memories are nice.

Ya I've always wanted an LS and a T56 for it.

But bite my tongue. Just today I find out a guy at work is selling his stroked LS3 (416) complete for cheap cheap. Cause the pan was full of metal. Was running just fine when it went into the shop. But dropped the pan for a gasket leak repair. And called it down for oil full of metal. Was lots of crank end play apparently. But hopes the block is not hurt. And I can pick it up complete for $1500 too.

Ya. Confirmed I can get the LS3 for 1500. Thrust bearings out of it from ballooned torque converter.

Turns out I'm not sure what it is exactly. Other than a stroked aluminum 6.2 LoL

I'll have to start another thread to help me decode it I think.
