In what order of modifications/ repairs would you make to an 06 Duramax LBZ. Completely stock right now and runs correctly. And......GO!

EGR delete, EFI live, EGT gauge, and bigger exhaust. Depending on what tune, probably head gaskets, and arp head studs.

Before any of that: Transgo shift kit, fresh fluid and a deep pan.

And Transynd fluid!

Yup, I forgot the name if it, but Castrol TranSynd is the ONLY fluid you should run in that trans. I recommend you do a Double Drain / Fill (Change it once, drive a little, change it again). Keeping that trans happy is the key.

I wouldn't do anything to that engine if it is running properly. 650ftlbs is nothing to stick your nose up at. The trans will not last long if you add a tuner to it without upgrades anyways.

The LBZ is a pretty solid engine all around. You shouldn't need to do injectors on it for a long, long time. Weak spot of those engines is the turbo vane position sensor. Need a tech 2 to re calibrate it after replacing it. A crows foot socket will allow you to remove and replace the sensor without pulling the turbo or wrecking the wiring.

If you lift or even level it plan on bigger tie rods, shorter ball joint and front end parts life and all that fun snowball effect stuff.
What is the intended use for this grandpa wagon?

intended usage is to occaisionally pull a trailer of the 1 or 2 vehicle size to haul my K5 and a friends YJ to places to wheel. And DD

This will serve you well, my brother has one and other than a straight pipe it's all stock, leave it that way, he's pushing 200k and it's running strong, stronger than my old '13 6.7 Ford! :doah:
